Valor Mental Health Foundation is a youth –driven Non-Governmental Organization based in Francistown. It aims to educate the public on mental health, promote practices that propagate good mental health and eliminate stigma towards people living with mental health conditions.
In 2016 I registered a Non Profit Organization called TeeLo Foundation. I have envisioned a good foundation for building one’s self esteem, sound educational environment for young children, would have lifetime benefits for our children and eventually improve their ability to achieve good Matric results.
South African born and Johannesburg-based Nelson Makamo uses his art to give a voice to the children of his birthplace, Limpopo, the northernmost province of South Africa. He is known for using a variety of expressive mediums such as acrylic, print, watercolour and charcoal drawings, to create candid portraits of children.
The corona virus pandemic made the years 2020 and 2021 very hard for many around the globe. Tankiso Moremi was one many people who lost their jobs. He was working in the administration department of Eldorado High School in Gauteng, South Africa. As Tankiso so puts it, he has never been one to back down from a challenge.
The organisation was born out of a long standing initiative and passion called KASI CHILD. Imbokodo LaunchPad was formed to establish an adolescent and young women support system that addresses issues faced by the township girl child (most importantly HIV/AIDS) and create opportunities for sustainable economic prosperity.
It is said that It is your reaction to adversity, not the adversity itself, that determines how your life’s story will develop. Charlotte and Sydwell are living proof of this saying. Charlotte and Sydwell Mavimbela lost their baby girl in 2020.
