The organisation was born out of a long standing initiative and passion called KASI CHILD. Imbokodo LaunchPad was formed to establish an adolescent and young women support system that addresses issues faced by the township girl child (most importantly HIV/AIDS) and create opportunities for sustainable economic prosperity. Our pilot home is at a school in Tsakane (east of Johannesburg) called Tholulwazi Secondary School. We have two refurbished containers that we operate from and are able to assist learners with free out of school time programmes, homework & tutoring support, and mentoring.

Our Mission Statement

Negative mindset and behaviour amongst the youth in South Africa is the root cause of multiple problems within our society including the prevalence of HIV/AIDS. Imbokodo LaunchPad aims to address these infectious problems head-on by focusing on the core of the problem and dealing with the four dimensions of human nature (Mind, heart, body and spirit).
